QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
Is it possible to generate a stock for a firearm not already on your list? I could even, likely, generate the 3D modeling files for the rifle in question if I knew what format your operations required. It's a Marlin MR-7, which no one makes components for anymore. Thanks for your consideration.
Unfortunately our stocks are made to fit Rem 700, 700 clones and Tikka T3 actions only at this time. We are starting to make solid blank stocks soon which you could purchase and you or your gunsmith could do all the inletting and fitting yourself for the Marlin.
Can i order a custom inlet stock without the flush cups on the side?
Unfortunately the cups are installed when we pop the stock out of the mold. If we don’t put them in, there will just be recessed holes there.
how much does this stock weigh?
Hi. I am currently looking to buy a tikka t3 lite I want to put a stock on it but in the future I will be changing the barrel to a #5 bartlien barrel. What is the best way to go about the barrel channel for this?
you could do 1 of 2 things, depending on how soon you'll be switching to the #5 barrel: 1. order the stock for your Lite barrel and when your ready to upgrade to the #5 either we or your gunsmith could open up the stocks barrel channel for your #5 barrel. 2. order the stock for your #5 barrel now and just deal with the extra free float around your Lite barrel for the time being. Me personally, if i was upgrading to the #5 in the next 1-2 years i would just order the stock for the #5 now.
I have to have your Terrian stock only issue I see is the barrel I want isn’t listed. I have my mind set on the Carbon 6 featherweight contour. Measures .750 at the muzzle. Is this something that can happen. This is my first build
Yes if we can get the contour chart from Carbon 6 so we can do the inlet programming to machine your stock for the Carbon 6 barrel. I don’t see anything listed on their website dimension wise, I’ll have to contact them.
I have a Terrain and a Renegade already for my Stiller and PTG 700's, I am ordering one currently for a Tikka T3 Hunter 300WM with Proof CF Sendero. I need a stock for another Tikka build I am in process with, can you inlet for a Tikka M595? There are a ton of people looking for stocks for this action but the $750 McMilan is not a feasible option for most and this Terrain would be perfect, can you inlet for it? while I'm asking for other unicorns, Please create bottom metal for the Tikka T3 that will work with magnum calibers like 300WM that will take with an AI based mag or even the Magpul LA/M mag. Everyone I know has been starting builds with T3 actions, doing a CF barrel swap and stock but our only option is the stock plastic.
we don't currently have the programming for the tikka 595 but will be looking at adding in in 2019. we are developing an aluminum bottom metal for the T3 now. should be out for purchase in early 2019.
Can you add your adjustable cheek piece to any other models?
Hi, unfortunately we cannot add a cheek piece to a stock. The only stock that currently has a c/p is the Ridgeback.
When ordering this stock for a factory Remington 700 short action what finished breech length should be selected?
Hello, what barrel do you have on the rifle? If its a factory Rem 700 contour there is no breech length that needs to be selected. Its either the sporter, magnum or varmint contour. Shoot me an email at email@example.com if you need more assistance. thanks!
Hi I would like a stock for a ruger m77 any possibilities?
Hello, unfortunately at this time our stocks don't fit the Ruger M77. We may offer stocks that fit the m77 in the future but we are currently working on coming out with Tikka, Savage, Winchester inlets.
Iâm looking for a stock to change out my Weatherby Mark V 9 lug action, is there a possibility to have you do a custom stock in that configuration?
At this time all Grayboe stocks come out of the mold ready for a Remington 700 foot print action. Towards the end of this year we will be able to get blanks from Grayboe and machine the Mark V into a stock.
