I want to use a 700 SS BDL DM (factory original) barreled action on the Outlander... will this be a problem?
if you have a BDL floor plate with sporter or magnum barrel contour then yes your rifle will drop into the Outlander stock.
Interested in purchasing the Outlander - All Factory Rem 700 stock in painted woodland multi (right hand, short action, BDL). Product description says the stock is medium sized and will accommodate a Remington Sendero or #5 custom barrel (if opended up). I plan to drop a 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD action and barrel (heavy/varmint) into it, and want to be sure it's going to be a good fit before I commit. Thanks.
Hello, yes the outlander stocks barrel channel can be sanded open to fit a varmint contour but it will leave the sidewalls of the stocks forend very thin. I would recommend the Terrain stock instead as it is meant for that barrel channel.
